What we do.

Shared Solace exists to promote wellbeing and positive mental health for the public benefit — reducing loneliness and social isolation by creating opportunities for people to connect through shared experiences, supportive spaces, and community-based activities that build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

We achieve this by:

  • Organising inclusive activities that bring people together, including social, creative, musical, and community-based events.

  • Providing opportunities for shared experiences — some of which may be challenging, but designed to be rewarding and to help people build confidence and resilience.

  • Creating welcoming and supportive spaces where people can meet, talk, and share experiences.

  • Encouraging awareness and open conversation about mental wellbeing and the importance of staying connected with others.

Many other organisations already offer vital, regular support — coffee mornings, drop-in centres, and similar services. Shared Solace doesn't replicate that. Instead, we offer one-off activities designed to spark connection.
